Galala Raptor Count

In a collaborative effort, the NCE, along with partners from the Egyptian Vulture NewLife project, BSPB, and RSPB, embarked on the inaugural Galala Raptor Count in the spring of 2022. Over six weeks, an astounding 380,000 birds were tallied, including significant proportions of key species critical to global biodiversity. This monumental count provides invaluable data on population sizes, migration patterns, and species health, contributing to the broader understanding and conservation of these vital raptors.
